Welcome to Ledger Live Desktop

Ledger Live Desktop is the official application that allows you to manage your Ledger hardware wallet and securely control your digital assets. Follow this guide to install, set up, and start using Ledger Live with confidence.

1. Download Ledger Live Desktop

To ensure safety, always download Ledger Live from the official Ledger website.

1. Visit Ledger.com/start

2. Choose your operating system: Windows, macOS, or Linux

3. Download the latest version of Ledger Live

Avoid third-party sites to protect yourself from scams or modified software.

2. Install the Application

Once downloaded:

• Open the installation file

• Follow the on-screen instructions

• Allow the app to complete the setup on your computer

After installation, launch Ledger Live to begin.

3. Get Started in Ledger Live

Upon opening the app:

• Click Get Started

• Select your Ledger device (Nano S, Nano S Plus, or Nano X)

• Accept the privacy and analytics preferences

• Proceed to the security checklist

This helps confirm your device is safe and authentic.

4. Connect and Verify Your Ledger Device

1. Plug your Ledger device into your computer

2. Unlock it using your PIN

3. Follow the prompts in Ledger Live

4. Complete the Genuine Check to verify your device authenticity

This step ensures your hardware wallet has not been tampered with.

5. Add Your Crypto Accounts

Next, you can add and manage your crypto accounts:

1. Navigate to Accounts

2. Click Add Account

3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to manage

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to sync the account with your Ledger device

Your assets will now appear in Ledger Live’s dashboard.
