Begin your crypto security journey by setting up your Ledger hardware wallet. This step-by-step guide ensures your device is configured correctly and ready to protect your digital assets.

1. Check Your Ledger Package

Your box should include:

• Ledger Nano device

• USB cable

• Recovery phrase sheets

• Instruction cards

Verify the packaging is sealed and untampered.

2. Connect and Start Your Device

1. Plug the Ledger device into your computer using the USB cable.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions.

3. Select Set up as new device if you’re using Ledger for the first time.

3. Create a Strong PIN

The device will ask you to set a PIN (4–8 digits).

• Choose a secure, memorable PIN.

• Confirm it directly on the device using the side buttons.

4. Write Down Your Recovery Phrase

Your Ledger device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase — your ultimate backup.

• Write all 24 words carefully on the recovery sheet.

• Store it in a safe, offline location.

• Never share it, photograph it, or type it on any website.

5. Download Ledger Live

Ledger Live is the official app for managing your crypto.

2. Download Ledger Live for Windows, macOS, or Linux.

3. Install and open the application.
